We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven sales individual to join our team as a Student Classifieds Sales Representative. First it will be a 3 month internship with a potential of becoming full-time. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, contacting and securing new listings for our student-focused classifieds website, IQmates Shop

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase the number of listings on our website
• Identify and contact potential clients, including landlords, students, and local businesses, to promote our website and secure new listings which include student accommodation, laptops, and textbooks
• Build relationships with potential clients and educate them on the benefits of listing their student accommodation, laptops and textbooks on our website. Example benefits such as these ones posted on our blog: see here
• Follow up with potential clients and track leads to ensure a high monthly conversion rate. We use Hubspot CRM to track sales leads.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators we will agree on
• Provide excellent customer service and support to potential clients
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities

Qualifications:

• Experience in sales is a plus but a can-do  attitude is mandatory
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong understanding of the student market and the needs of students
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with CRM software is a plus
